The Leading Quantum Computer Architectures

The field of Quantum Computing is evolving at a exponential pace, and the various theories and practical applications for controlling and calculating qubits are becoming more apparant. The more stabilized and universalized any leading Quantum Computing Architecture can be produced, the more likely Quantum Computers can deliver commercial user application in the near future. In early 2025, the first Quantum Computer operating system, QNodeOS, was researched and released by the Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA). The purpose of QNodeOS is to allow the interface between Quantum Computing and Cassical Computing hybrid applications such as Quantum MATLAB or QExcel. The various forms of interacting with Qubits describes the architecture of Quantum Computing. Some Quantum Computing architectures are only theoretical, while others are quickly becoming the standard. Still, the type of Quantum Computing architecture will, at this time, depend on the specific purpose or output (searching versus calculation), for there is yet no one single Quantum Computing architecture to engineer all solutions.
